3rd August 2026

25 November 2025 – Inspirit Capital is pleased to announce the merger of mthree and Peregrine, creating a business of substantial international scale in the Hire-Train-Deploy (HTD) market.
Inspirit Capital, the UK-headquartered corporate carve-out investor, acquired Peregrine from Capita PLC in June 2023 and mthree from John Wiley & Sons Inc. in May 2024.
mthree works with organisations to close critical skills gaps by building job-ready teams in technology, business and banking. Its Alumni programme delivers emerging talent whilst its Expert programme provides experienced professionals. Its Reskill offering enables clients to upskill existing employees to meet evolving business demands, particularly in the areas of AI and cyber security.
Peregrine is a business change and technology consultancy supporting leading UK organisations, predominantly across the public sector and defence space. The firm is widely recognised for its strong focus on diversity, capability building and workforce transformation.
Together, the combined group forms a comprehensive flexible workforce solutions provider, spanning the full talent spectrum from early-career development to specialist consulting and reskilling. The merger creates a business of substantial scale, further strengthening its position in the HTD market, with a compelling opportunity to deliver an enhanced, diversified, full-service offering to clients globally.
Commenting on the merger, Albert Farrant, founding Partner at Inspirit, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing mthree and Peregrine together, creating a business of real scale with a broader, more diversified range of services for our clients. We believe the combination positions the group exceptionally well for its next phase of growth.”
Alex Headley, CEO of mthree, who will become CEO of the joint business on completion, added: “This merger represents a fantastic opportunity for our clients, partners and people. mthree and Peregrine share a closely aligned vision, strategy and culture, and together we can offer a truly end-to-end workforce solution. It’s an exciting milestone in our shared growth journey.”
The transaction is expected to complete in January 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
